Researcher and Educator Course This course aims to produce researchers who can address challenges in a variety of nursing settings and educators who can thrive in academic institutions such as universities. It aims to enhance students’ expertise across three fields and nine domains, while developing abilities such as critical thinking, teaching skills, and research capability.

Certified Nurse Specialist Course This program aims to train certified nurse specialists who will acquire broad expertise and assessment skills and will excel in advanced practice. The educational curriculum is accredited by the Japan Association of Nursing Programs in Universities. Graduates of the course become eligible to take the Japanese Nursing Association’s Certified Nurse Specialist) examinations in Child Health Nursing, Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing, and Gerontological Nursing.

Certified Nurse Administrator Course This program aims to create professionals who can systematically study nursing administration and acquire the perspectives and capabilities they need as specialists in nursing management to creatively reform organizations. Those with at least 3 years of nursing management experience at the level of nurse manager or above will be eligible to take the Japanese Nursing Association Certified Nurse Administrator exam after they finish the course.

DIPLOMA POLICY (CERTIFICATION AND DIPLOMA POLICIES)

A master’s degree (in nursing) will be awarded to students who: have been on the master’s course for a predetermined period of time, received academic credits required for its completion, passed the thesis examination and final test, and fulfill the following requirements:

● Researchers/educators course The student has:

  1. A sense of ethics based on humanitarianism - a fundamental principle of the Red Cross
  2. Research abilities to contribute to the advancement of nursing science
  3. Education skills to contribute to human resource development in nursing
  4. The ability to logically explain his/her research

● Specialized nurses/certified nursing supervisors course The students has:

  1. A sense of ethics based on humanitarianism - a fundamental principle of the Red Cross
  2. Excellent skills to provide nursing care in specialized fields
  3. The ability to collaborate and coordinate with many different professionals and facilities
  4. Research abilities to solve problems in practical nursing settings Curriculum
